Overview

The course focuses on new and emerging sustainable automotive technologies such as hybrid electric vehicles, battery electric vehicles and fuel-cell vehicles.

Throughout the course, you have the opportunity to use state-of-the-art design tools, as well as advanced development and simulation tools, to explore vehicle development, design, calibration and optimisation.

Our automotive engineering laboratory suite includes an engine test bed with full instrumentation; two advanced automotive engine demonstrators; various test rigs for vehicle aerodynamics, materials and engineering structure; and a machining workshop. You also have access to 3D printers and a CAE lab.

The University accepts the following qualification as satisfying the English Language requirements for entry to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

  • UKVI Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with minimum 5.5 in each element

In the first year only on either undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses, international students will receive a £1,000 VC Scholarship. An international student progressing to a higher level degree* will receive, in the first year only of the new course, both a £1,000 VC Scholarship and a £500 alumni discount. Additional discounts of £500 are available for prompt payment of the first year fees in full, before or at registration (undergraduate and postgraduate).

Scholarship Available

The Scholarship scheme for international students enrolling in the academic year 21/22 at one of our UK campuses is as follows:

  • An automatic £1,000 Vice Chancellor’s Scholarship for new international applicants (undergraduate and postgraduate).
  • A £500 Prompt Payment Discount for applicants who pay their first year fees in full, before or at registration (undergraduate and postgraduate).
