Overview

The history of the Scottish nation is dramatic, surprising and an infinite source of inspiration in popular culture. On this course, you’ll explore both the myths and the realities of Scottish History, unpicking the events that shaped a nation – from the wars of William Wallace to Scotland’s unprecedented impact on the wider world. You can expect in-depth insight into every aspect of Scottish History – political, social, environmental and economic – all of which will deepen your understanding of present-day Scotland at the same time.

Entry Requirements:

Direct Entry to 1st Year

Successful completion of High School Certificate Year 12, with an over all minimum of 75% , and 75% in subjects where there is a specific requirement or successful completion of year 1 from a recognised University.

English Language Req:

Alternative (non-SELT) online tests we accept

The University now also accepts four online English Language tests which can be presented as evidence of language proficiency. Applicants who require a Student visa and cannot obtain a Secure English Language Test (SELT) due to COVID-19 disruption to testing, can now submit any one of the following alternative tests with their degree application:

  • Duolingo English Test (DET)
  • LanguageCert International ESOL B2
  • TOEFL iBT (Special Home Edition)
