About the course

From the office to your home and car, computer networks are at the heart of modern information systems and, as their use expands, there is a growing need for people who understand how they work. This course gives you that understanding along with the skills to implement and manage computer network infrastructures.

The course focuses on the technical aspects of network design; network installation and configuration; systems administration; maintenance and management; and the application of contemporary technologies. As the course progress, British Computer Society Accredited Degrees, you develop strong technical skills in combination with a thorough understanding of how to manage networks; implement through design, and manage the needs of clients and businesses.

This course is accredited by the British Computer Society, which is the chartered institute for IT. You also have the opportunity to study for the AWS Cloud Foundation certification.

English Language Req:

The University accepts the following qualification as satisfying the English Language requirements for entry to a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree.

  • UKVI Academic IELTS overall score of 6.0 with a minimum of 5.5 in each element

* £1,400 per annum payable for the provision of placement.


In the first year only on either undergraduate or postgraduate degree courses, international students will receive a £1,000 VC Scholarship. An international student progressing to a higher level degree* will receive, in the first year only of the new course, both a £1,000 VC Scholarship and a £500 alumni discount. Additional discounts of £500 are available for prompt payment of the first year fees in full, before or at registration (undergraduate and postgraduate).
